The Lewis County Middle School golf team hosted a mid-week match at Hohenwald Municipal Golf Course on Wednesday, August 24th. Other schools participating were Waynesboro, Hampshire, and Santa Fe.
In boys’ action Waynesboro Middle edged out a team victory shooting a team-total of 92, besting second place Lewis County by 3 strokes at 95. Santa Fe finished team play in third at 133. Lewis County’s Nolan Whitehead was low-medalist on the boys side, carding a 20. Ryder Ward shot a 24 for the Panthers, Bo Banks a 25, River Carroll a 26, and Blayne Pinckley a 29.
The Lewis County Lady Panthers brought in the low team score of 54. Kayclyn “Tiger” Williams was low-medalist in girls’ play, finishing her day with a 25. Linley Harris came in at 29, and Anna Kate Jones had a 34.
