Homecoming at Lewis County Middle School was on Thursday night, September 15th and featured the Lewis County Middle School Panthers and the E.O. Coffman Panthers at A.B. Sisco Athletic Field.

E.O. Coffman came into the game a perfect 6-0 on the season, the third undefeated team the Panthers have faced on the year and showed their dominance from the opening kickoff. Lewis County was shut down on their opening possession, and Coffman went on a long scoring drive that ended with a 9-yard touchdown run and a successful point after to take a 7-0 lead with almost three minutes to play in the first quarter.

Later in the first, Coffman would connect on a 40-yard touchdown pass in the closing seconds of the period but miss the point after to hold a 13-0 lead at the end of the first.

Lewis County's offense would continue to struggle in the second quarter as they were unable to take advantage of good field position and failed to mount a scoring drive.

Coffman would extend their lead while the Panthers struggled, scoring on a 2-yard dive and a 7-yard run in the second quarter and add a two-point conversion and a point after to make it 28-0 at the half.

The Panther defense tightened in the third quarter, but an interception return for a touchdown and point after by Coffman extended the lead to 35-0.

With a running clock in the final quarter, Coffman added the final score of the game on a 10-yard run to the endzone and a PAT to make it a 42-0 game, which held to the final horn.

The Panther offense was held to only 9 yards on the night. Kobe Feichtinger had 15 yards on 3 carries, Anthony Garcia 1 carry for 5 yards, and Gavin Coker 4 carries for 4 yards. Feichtinger was 2 for 6 passing for 9 yards with an interception, and D.J. Stewart was 0-3 with an interception. Shawn Lewis had 1 reception for 6 yards, and Gavin Coker 1 reception for 3 yards.

Gavin Coker and Dakota Hull each had 5 tackles, Kaden Pace 4 tackles and a recovered fumble, D.J. Stewart and Zeke Weibe each had 3 tackles, Cord'e Pope, Henry Sharp, and Carter Stewart 2 tackles each, Colby Cates 1 tackle and a sack, Phenix McDonald, Shawn Lewis, Junior Nelson, John Adams, Blake Welch, and Noah Casteel each had a tackle, and Brett Odom recovered a fumble.
