Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
The Lewis County Public Library and Archives celebrated Children's Book Week with Lomax Day School on Tuesday, November 8, and Wednesday, November 9, 2022. The Lomax students joined young people across the country in attending events at their local libraries. Families enjoyed the special, interactive story times and exploring the library together. Thank you Lomax Staff and Families for joining us for these fun field trips.
Children's Book Week is an annual event that began in 1919 and is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country. This event was started by the librarian to the Boy Scouts of America, Franklin K Matthiews to promote children's literacy. This celebration is now supported by publishers, booksellers, educators, and librarians.
If you are an educator, and would like to arrange a class field trip, please contact the library for scheduling.
