One Day at a Time

Series: One day at a time | Story 78

Well it is a cold morning here in our little valley, it was 20 degrees on the front porch thermometer but on the inside of the house it is nice and warm, the old wood heating stove sure is doing its job.

The cats did not get up early this morning, they like to sleep late when it is cold, and of course last night I warmed their blankets so they were nice and warm.

We have finished our breakfast and Bob has got the dishes washed and the kitchen is clean. I have finished my second cup of coffee and it sure was good.

We have been putting up some more Christmas decorations, we have got most of the inside of the house decorated and we still have a little more to do on the outside, it is a little too cold today to work on the outside but Bobby should get the rest of it done this week.

I think we are suppose to have a little warmer days though Thanksgiving and then turning cold with snow and rain mix by Friday, at least that is what they are forecasting.

I guess most of you are getting ready for Thanksgiving, I have got my menu planned and probably will start some preparing early in the week.

The kids will all be here Thursday and I am looking forward to it, they look forward to it too, they love to come and eat but I think they look forward to seeing all the Christmas decorations also. I am not sure how many trees I have up but I will have to count and let you all know next week.

Our new little great grand baby is doing better but he is still in the hospital, please keep him in your prayers, we are hoping he will be home for Thanksgiving.

We were out running errands last week and saw more wild turkeys in two different locations. You would think this close to Thanksgiving they would be hiding out.

When we were in the grocery store there was no shortage of turkeys so I think everyone will able to have turkey for Thanksgiving if they want one.

I have not heard anyone say for sure what kind of winter we will have but they sure are having a lot of snow up north of us, the last I heard they had about six feet, I like snow but nothing like that.

Thank all of you that read my little story and I am glad you enjoy my ramblings. Thank you all for the cards and calls and letters. Keep me in your prayers.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy family and friends and please be grateful because there is some that do not have what we have.

I am not going to worry about tomorrow and I am going to take one day at a time because God still has it all under control and He is the light at the end of the tunnel.

God bless.
