KIDS OF THE WEEK
Well this week my Kid of the week is actually the 10 high school football seniors! Most of these young men I have known all their lives. I thought this would be something new and to shine a little spotlight on these kids! So I have 20 questions. I asked them two each, with one senior being out, so a couple of them got three questions. Y'all enjoy!!

Q.) Are you a team player?
A.) Yes, you can't go out there and play by yourself. You need everyone to work together.

Q.) What are your greatest strengths as a football player?
A.) My hands and long body.

Q.) If you could change one thing about the way football is played, what would it be?
A.) I would change the way that most of the time its men who are playing. I feel like women could play also.

Q.) What would you say is your greatest weakness as a football player?
A.) The position I have to put myself in to do my job.

Q.) Do you have any experience playing other sports?
A.) Yes. I've played basketball and baseball, but football will always be my first love.

Q.) When is your next game and what position will you be playing?
A.) Tomorrow night. Wide receiver and corner.

Q.) How often do you practice during the week?
A.) We practice Monday-Thursday and we run routes on Sundays.

Q.) What is your greatest accomplishment as a football player?
A.) Being able to be one of the smallest on the team, yet one of the strongest.

Q.) How well do you communicate with your teammates on the field?
A.) We communicate pretty well. Everybody knows what they need to do and that's all you can ask for.

Q.) What do you think is the most important aspect of being a member of this team?
A.) A team is a unit and they all have to work as one. Every part must do its job. My most important aspect is making sure I get my blocks as well as being a leader, and helping when asked. It's not just one person though, it's all of us from the 11 starters on Friday to the coaches to the practice squad players to the fans in the stands, it's all of us.

Q.) What team do you admire most that y'all have played?
A.) Fayetteville is the top team we played.

Q.) What do you think sets you apart from other football players?
A.) The amount of effort that I put into this game and trying to be the best I can be.

Q.) What is the best thing about playing high school football in a small town?
A.) You have the whole community behind you when you're winning and you can just make so many memories.

Q.) Who is our biggest rival?
A.) Parsons Riverside.
Player: Nathan Hamblin #29
Q.) Who is your biggest role model in football?
A.) Vinnie Sunseri. He wasn't the biggest or fastest on the field but he was smart, he was the quarterback of the defense.

Q.) Who are your biggest supporters - family, friends, etc?
A.) My mom, dad, brother, friends, the little kids that cheer me on, my girlfriend and my aunt and uncle.

Q.) What do you think gives you an advantage on the field?
A.) I think me being in shape gives me an advantage on the field. Also, I have pretty much started since freshman year so I have a little more experience playing in big games than most.

A.) Their ability to play the game. Their understanding of the game and their heart they put in the game.

Q.) Do you have any pregame rituals before a game?
A.) Yes most of the time I will get a Bible verse at the start of the week and before the game I will try to remember it and say it over and over again.
