Drugs confiscated in traffic stop

The Hohenwald Police Department was attempting to make a traffic stop on a cross-tagged vehicle Friday afternoon, December 2, on Swan Avenue when the white Chevrolet 1500 pulled into 109 Swan Avenue. The tag registration belongs on a blue Acura 4 door car.

"Once the vehicle came to a complete stop, the driver, later identified as Jimmy Pruitt, Jr., exited the vehicle and began to flee into the woods behind 109 Swan."

After a short foot pursuit, officers captured Pruitt under a porch on Cedar Street. He was found with multiple drugs on his person. Dispatch confirmed that Pruitt has outstanding...
