by Amanda Spears,

Reporter

We chose Josie because she has worked so hard on all the windows for Christmas in Hohenwald the last couple of years. She is such a hard worker and is amazing at what she does. We hope you enjoy reading a little bit about her this week. Merry Christmas!!

Q.) Where did you grow up?

A.) Hartselle, Alabama, but I moved to Hohenwald in 2014.

Q.) What are your fondest childhood memories?

A.) I would have to say making up dances, making home movies with my sisters.

Q.) What did you want to be as a kid? What did you actually become?

A.) I wanted to be an artist, a singer, and a softball player. I was singing at Blondy Church. I don't sing much anymore and I didn't go to school anywhere for softball. I am doing what I love to do - I am painting.

Q.) Who was/is your biggest role model?

A.) All 3 of my parents and my husband, but especially my Mom.

Q.) What are some of your favorite hobbies/how do you like to spend your free time?

A.) I'm doing it with my painting, traveling with Dylan and hanging with my family.

Q.) If you could go anywhere, in or out of the states, where would it be? Why?

A.) Israel, to the spiritual roots. Plus my husband coaches football when he goes, he has been twice. To make that trip with my husband would be a dream trip.

Q.) What is one of your favorite things about living in Hohenwald?

A.) The connections that everyone has here. To be honest I wouldn't be as successful if not for Hohenwald. Plus meeting the Powers family and my husband makes it a pretty special place.

Q.) What is your favorite time of year? Why?

A.) Summer, because I don't like the cold. I do my best work in warmer weather, and I can travel and be with family more.

Q.) What do you enjoy most about your job?

A.) I love peoples' reactions.

Q.) Do you have a nick name?

A.) JoJo, Jo and Alabamian!

Q.) Is there any life advice you could give to our readers?

A.) Let God be in control. You will try and try but your plan will not go as well as His.

Q.) Is there anything you would like to add that my questions may not have touched on?

A.) No, not at this time.
