Commodore Hotel hosts Nashville's T.W. Hale for songwriting workshop

Add-on Event of Tennessee Songwriter's Week Qualifying Round

Linden, TN – Back by popular demand, T.W. Hale, hit Nashville songwriter (Reba McEntire, Billy Ray Cyrus, Randy Travis and more), will lead the 2nd Annual Songwriting Workshop Feb. 10-11, 2023 at Linden's Commodore Hotel. A special add-on event to this year's Tennessee Songwriter's Week, the event begins at 5 p.m., Feb. 10 and continues Feb. 11 through the songwriter qualifying round performances.

The workshop includes a meet and greet, a guitar pull, sessions on crafting a song, lyric writing, music writing, how to create a great demo, and a Q&A session on songwriting best practices. Joining Hale to help lead the workshop is Tom Harding, writer, producer and engineer, who has worked on projects by Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, and Olivia Newton-John, to name a few. Adding to the special weekend event is a Friday evening Valentine's dinner in the Commodore Music Café with a concert event by Jacob Rice, 2022's Songwriter event winner.

Special weekend rates of $95 per night are available for participating songwriters. A free meet and greet will be held on Friday evening with hot hors d'oeuvres and house wine. Lunch on Saturday is provided with registration.

Winners of the qualifying rounds will advance to the showcase events at venues in Memphis, Franklin, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Gatlinburg, Gallatin and Johnson City. The showcase winners will get their chance to take the stage at Nashville's iconic Bluebird Café.
