You have heard the song “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”, well here is a new one, “Its beginning to look a lot like Spring”. I even heard a whip-o-will the other night, so according to the older generation which I am a member of it is spring, I hope this is right, for the animals seem to think so, as I said last week the birds are singing and the trees and shrub in yards and woods are beginning to bloom with all their splendor. I know there are many like myself who will be glad for I am tired of the cold nights and early morning temperatures. Saturday morning it was even in the mid-thirties.
Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Joyce Barnes, Larry Bates, Colene Beasley, Elizabeth Boggs, Dorothy Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Madison Chappell, Spencer Clark, Peggy Cook, Robert and Pat Dickson were back at church on Sunday but still having some health issues, Verlin George, Ophelia Green, Calvin Harris, Shirley Howe, Monette King, Sherry Love her daughter who is about eight months pregnant is in the hospital, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry will be having surgery, Helen McCann, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Carla Murphy, Lonnie Odom, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Jarrod Reagan, Russell Runions, T R Runions, Peggy Sims, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Sharon White, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.
We wish a happy birthday Wesley Carroll, Kerrigan Reeves and Jessica James the 10th, Jasmine Chapin the 12th, Aleah Carroll the 13th, Rylee Beasley the 14th, Greg McCann the 15th, and Hillary Graves the 16th, wishing for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.
Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week Richard Mathis Totty, Peggy Sue Rollins, Georgia Lee Moss, Jennifer Lynn Sandoval, Vernon Edward Nelson Jr., and James Lee Hornbeak. Prayers for all these families and any others about which we may not know.
There are lots of things going on in the area, so take part in some of the things that you are interested in in, the children are beginning to practice ball and many other things that they take part in. St. Patrick’s Day is coming up and the Library is having a dance at the High School to help raise funds for the up grade of the building to have more storage and area for people to do things, Easter is just around the corner and with that spring break for the schools and many other things going on.
I pray that your family has a great week and take time to enjoy the beautiful flowering shrubs and trees as you travel around the area. May you life be blessed with happiness and health. Remember those who are sick and shut-in and help if you can but just a card, call or visit helps them to know that people care about them.
