Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
February 1, 1961 ~ February 25, 2023
Kenneth Dwayne Crowe peacefully passed away in the arms of his loving family on February 25, 2023, at his Hohenwald home at the age of 62. Ken was born in Michigan to the late Willard Levoine and Ruby Maxine Hunt Crowe.
After graduating from high school, Ken made the decision to defend his country proudly by enlisting in the United States Marine Corp. He served from 1979-1983, completed a tour in Iraq and retired an E8. After retirement Mr. Crowe completed two years of college. When one thinks of Ken the first thought that comes to mind is his life full of service. He was a humble, kind, good man. From serving in the military to working 29 years on the police force and two years on border control, he lived to serve those around him.
He was a devout Catholic attending church whenever possible and was a fourth degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.
In March of 2014 he married the one woman that truly was meant for him. He and his wife, Kenda Lawson, built a life together that most dream of. Ken's most important hobby was his family, and he dedicated every minute he could to making memories with them. They all enjoyed family game nights with cards, movies, and laughter. One thing his family loved most about him was his kind and gentle heart. Ken would often pick the most unique Christmas trees because he feared it would be left behind or take in any stray that wandered to him.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Christopher Crowe, Sarah (Jimmy) Gibbs, Samantha McCallister Crowe, Zech "Zack" (Brenda) McCallister, Hannah (Cole) Parks, and Trevor Crowe; grandchildren, Kylee Crowe, Chloe Crowe, Noah Alkire, Josie Alkire, Cannon Milikan, Nolan Milikan, Colt Milikan, Isaiah McCallister, Sophia McCallister, and Baby Eliza Jane Gibbs. He also leaves behind his sisters, Judy Swope and Vicki McCullough Mebraw; ten nieces and ten nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Suarez, Keith (Willard) Crowe, Glynn Norman Crowe, Monty Crowe, Phyllis Cole, Patricia Ochow, and Robert Crowe; niece, Susan Goodreau; nephew, Patrick McCullough; granddaughter, Naomi Claire Alkire; paternal grandparents, Rufus Edward and Pairsada Crowe; and maternal grandparents, Cicero and Zeda Hunt.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in the chapel of Adair Funeral and Cremation Services with burial following at Swiss Cemetery.
