Charlotte Shirley (Bates) Talley

September 2, 1933 ~ March 25, 2023

Charlotte "Shirley" Bates Talley, 89, was born September 2, 1933, the baby of eleven, to Nancy Radie Bates and William Dufford Bates. Ms. Shirley passed from this earthly home and was reunited with her husband on Saturday March 25th, 2023.

She was married to Leonard Ray "Glen" Talley on November 28, 1953, and they shared 65 wonderful years. Together they had twin daughters, Glenda and Brenda Talley.

Shirley was above all a homemaker and a hardworking caregiver to both her husband and her family. The last 20 years of her husband's life she was his primary care provider. She worked in several factories in Hohenwald.

Ms. Talley is survived by her twin daughters, Brenda and Glenda Talley. In addition to her husband and parents, Ms. Talley was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde, Claude, Carlton, Garland, Harlon, and sisters, Ima, Irene, Jessie, Wyladean, and Louise.

Visitation with the family was on Wednesday, March 29 in the chapel of Adair Funeral Cremation Services with graveside services at Milan Cemetery in Centerville.
