We have been having many thunderstorms in the area and this past Friday night there was lots of damage in the Lewis County area and some homes destroyed, I do not know all of them but my niece, Amanda and husband Jake Odom lost their home, but she said material things could be replaced and she was just thankful that they were safe. There was other damage in the Grinder’s Creek area where they lived but I do not know the names of those affected. Prayers for all of them and although they are calling for more storms this week, I pray they are not as severe and not tornados. There was damage in several areas of the county and Wayne, Perry, and others as well. Let us remember all those in other states and areas where there was not only damage to property but loss of lives.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Joyce Barnes, Larry Bates, Colene Beasley, Lois Bennett, Elizabeth Boggs, Dorothy Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Robby Carroll had to have a stent put in but is home and doing okay, Spencer Clark, Peggy Cook, Pat Dickson, Verlin George, Ophelia Green, Calvin Harris, Eddie Holt will have a pacemaker put in on Monday, Shirley Howe, Monette King, Hannah Kat Love, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Helen McCann, Richie McCann, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Carla Murphy, Lonnie Odom, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Sandra Pogue, Jarrod Reagan, Mike Runions, Russell Runions, T R Runions, Peggy Sims, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Diane Williams, Annette Williams and Selina Young having surgery on Monday. We wish a happy birthday Crystal Lomax and Sarah Carroll he 7th, Sadie Tripp he 12th, and Kenneth Bates the 13th, wishing for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week Agnes Pendergrass, James Wood, Jerry Frese, Winnie Black Aydelott, Robert Glenn Ray, Edith Mae Brooks, Era nell Bates, and Billy Don Jackson. Prayers for all these families and any others about which we may not know.

Saturday was a very busy day for many in the area and continues to be as many are cleaning up debris, trees and limbs from the tornado that passed through the area and many other places also on Friday night and early Saturday morning. Prayers for all those especially in areas were there were deaths as well as destruction.

Today started off with rain and the temperatures are only in the sixties and then more rain so maybe a wet day and not very warm as it has been the last few days. Praying your family has a great week and that you are blessed with health and happiness.
