Girl Scout activities

Recently, as part of earning their Earth Day badge, the Girl Scout Troops of Lewis County had loads of fun planting seeds inside the Girl Scout room, for seedlings to grow into flowers.

By the end of the second week, the seedlings were well on their way to becoming strong enough to transplant outside in the planters around the Girl Scout room in Memorial Park! Hopefully, weather permitting they will blossom with beautiful blooms for all to enjoy in the next few weeks!

While all the transplanting was going on, others in the troop were making “shake ice cream”, which turned out to be great fun and is sure to be delicious!

Additionally, the older Scouts completed their Cooking badges with a wonderful Pizza Pasta Casserole, which was a great hit! Yum!

Even though the school year is winding down, the Girl Scouts hope to have several fun activities during the summer for the girls to enjoy before the new school year starts again!

Girls of any age are encouraged to join the group next year! Early registration is until June 1.
