One Day at a Time

Series: One day at a time | Story 99

Well it is a cloudy and cool morning here in our little valley. We had some more rain last night and everything is wet and the ditches are full and the creek has a lot of water in it. The animals are enjoying this warm weather, yesterday we saw deer crossing our road, we have not seen a lot of deer this year.

The cats do not like this wet weather, they ate breakfast and then went back to bed, they did not seem very happy. Some of you have asked about our tom cat that went missing a few months ago, he has not come back home, we still miss him a lot.

This has been another busy week but we have got some work done inside the house and also in the garage. We also have been able to walk almost everyday.

Bob is doing good with his physical therapy, thanks to Trent Lewis and all you sweet people at physical therapy, they have been working so good to help him, but I think they may be spoiling him, he enjoys going so much.

There is a lot of things going on all around us and there is trouble everywhere you look. I do not watch the TV news much anymore, it is just sad and makes me feel bad, so I just pray a lot more. God still knows all about it, back sometime ago I saw a church sign that read “Jesus is coming soon and boy is He mad”, yes Jesus does get mad read your Bible.

A lot of people have their gardens out and I guess all this rain has slowed them down but when it warms up those vegetables will really grow, and so will the weeds. Some people have told me that they have had to replant and some people have told me that their gardens just will not grow, but I think after it gets a little warmer and a little dryer the gardens will really do good this year.

It looks like we will be getting a break on our grocery taxes this year from August to October, that will help a lot of people. Maybe by that time the gardens will be coming in too, that will give families a big break for sure.

I have got a busy day ahead, I have got some major cleaning to do. The cats are still asleep, Bob has got the kitchen clean and all the breakfast dishes put away, he really does a good job but I can not brag on him too much or he will want to be paid.

I am not going to worry about tomorrow and I am going to take one day at a time because God still has it all under control and He is the light at the end of the tunnel.

God bless.
