Q.) Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?

A.) I work at Assure Title and Escrow. I have an eight year old son named Cash. I am very involved in the recovery community here in Hohenwald, and I love spending time with my family and friends.

Q.) Where did you grow up?

A.) Right here in Hohenwald, TN.

Q.) What is one of your fondest childhood memories?

A.) Picking muscadines with my Papaw Holt and swimming with all my cousins at my aunt Shirley and Grandma’s.

Q.) What did you want to be as a kid? What did you actually become?

A.) I wanted to be a dental hygienist, but I became a cosmetologist and later on decided to do title and escrow work.

Q.) Who was/is your biggest role model?

A.) My Papaw Eddie.

Q.) What are some of your favorite hobbies/ how do you like to spend your free time?

A.) I love outdoors, kayaking, doing things with my recovery family, and I love watching Cash play all his sports.

Q.) If you could go anywhere, in or out of the states, where would it be? Why?

A.) I would love to visit Greece. I have only see pictures, but it looks like the most beautiful place.

Q.) What is your favorite type of music?

A.) I love the oldies but goodies. My favorite song is “Me and Bobby McGee” by Janis Joplin. I love The Allman Brothers and Tyler Childers.

Q.) What is one of your favorite things about living in Hohenwald?

A.) My favorite thing about living in Hohenwald is my whole family is here and the recovery community.

Q.) What is your favorite time of year? Why?

A.) Fall, because Halloween is my favorite part of Fall.

Q.) Let’s say you’re a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be? Why?

A.) I would have to be the brightest Yellow in the box because, it’s the color of happiness and sunshine, and I love to brighten everyone’s day.

Q.) What do you enjoy most about your job?

A.) The people I work with. They have helped me not only in my recovery, but they have also taught me how to live everyday life, just teaching me how to be an adult really because I didn’t know how to start over in doing that, so they have been a big help to me.

Q.) Do you have a nick name?

A.) I do yes, POOCH! My Papaw Eddie gave me that when I was a little baby, and it stuck. Now that’s all some people know me as.

Q.) Is there any life advice you could give to our readers?

A.) Yes, this is mostly for people who are struggling or in recovery or even still fighting addiction. Anybody who thinks you’re not a big deal just know we can’t help everybody but everybody can help somebody, even if it’s just one person.

Q.) Is there anything you would like to add that my questions may not have touched on?

A.) Just know if you’re struggling in any way, that there is hope no matter how hopeless you feel, there are a lot of people in Hohenwald that would be willing to help you when ever you are ready, and I am one of those people. All you have to do is reach out.
