One Day at a Time

Series: One day at a time | Story 100

Well it is a cool and rainy morning here in our little valley, it rain last night and early this morning but it looks like it is clearing up now. We will be glad of this rain later in the summer, it has slowed down some of the gardeners now but this will be good later.

The cats came up for breakfast and then went right back to bed. When the sun shine comes back out they will be ready to go for a walk, we have been walking in the mornings and in the late afternoons, and the cats like to go walking with us and they think we should walk at their pace, do you think they are spoiled?

My kitchen is clean and the breakfast dishes have been put away but Bob still can not find the broom and mop, I do not know when I will be able to tell him about the vacuum cleaner or show him how to clean the windows.

We were out this week and went over to Amish country and as usual they have a lot of their gardens set out, I mostly just saw cabbages and onions, all their fields looked like they were ready to be planted or had just been planted in. We sure like to go over there, we have a lot of sweet Amish friends.

I am sure there are a lot of happy kids now that they are out of school for a little while, they do not get out for long. When we were growing up we could plan a long spring and summer vacation, now they only have a few weeks off. I am so proud of all the graduates.

When we were going out the other day we went by the school and there was a police car close to the school, it sure made me feel good to see and know that they were keeping an eye on things and I also saw them patrolling in other places, it is so good they are watching over the kids and with everything that is happening now a days it sure makes me feel better, we need to keep all of our law officers in our prayers everyday.

I went grocery shopping and I took my grocery list and my receipts from last time and I was surprised that only a couple of things had gone up in price, maybe that is a good sign, and gas prices have stayed about the same.

You know I was thinking in the last three years we all have gone through a lot of tough times, with sicknesses and all that covid has done to all of us, but you know we have gotten through it and every time we have to go through something rough that takes us to our knees, that is where we get our strength, I know that is the way it works for me, and I think we all get closer to each other and we know who our friends really are because we all try to help each other. So lets all stay close and try to help each other and pray one for another.

I am not going to worry about tomorrow and I am going to take one day at a time because God still has it all under control and He is the light at the end of the tunnel.

God bless.
