Jeannie Rickman Sloan was born on October 25, 1945, in Shiloh, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Joe Rickman and Nona Evelyn Glover Rickman Gray.
On December 14, 1968, she was united in marriage to John Curtiss Sloan, Sr., who preceded his wife in death on March 6, 2010.
Jeannie worked at Pickwick Landing State Park for 44 years and enjoyed her work there and loved getting to know all of her many customers. She also worked for FHA for 4 years. She was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church, PEC board, and Fraternal Order of Police #37 in Shiloh, Tennessee.
Jeannie loved her grandchildren and always supported them in anything they were involved in. She also enjoyed watching motorcross racing and participating in contests and sweepstakes.
Jeannie Rickman Sloan departed this life on May 20, 2023 in Crump, Tennessee at the age of 77 years, 6 months, and 25 days.
She is survived by her son Curt Sloan (Jennifer) of Crump, daughter, Tanya Sloan (Greg) of Adamsville, sister, Mary Ruth Driskell of Shiloh, grandchildren, Curtiss Sloan (Kara), Lacey Wilkins, Jamie Wilkins (Kaylie), and Tyler Driskell; and great grandchildren, J.C. Price, Cullen Price, Nora Sloan, and Layton Sloan.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jeannie was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Ross and brothers, Terry Rickman and C.D. Rickman.
