Thurman "T.R." Roosevelt Runions

In the early morning hours of May 22, 2023, Thurman Roosevelt Runions (T.R.), 82, departed his earthly home, and was reunited with his loving wife Ramona Runions in Heaven. T.R. was born on September 9,1940, in Hampshire to the late Malcom Paterson Runions, and the late Margie Carroll Runions. On Oct 20,1962, he married the love of his life Mrs. Ramona Lee Blackwell Runions.

Mr. Runions was a Flex Tubing Operator for Dana Corporation. He enjoyed playing guitar, playing his hand-held poker game, and taking long rides looking at the scenery. He enjoyed looking for his friends from Dana, family gatherings and spending time talking to them.

In addition to his parents, and his wife, Mr. Runions is preceded in death by a son Anthony Clark Runions, his brothers Malcom “Bud” Runions, Charles “Chuck” Runions, James “JT” Runions; a grandson Alan Dupont; and sister-in-law Gayle Runions.

T.R is survived by his children Brian (Charlotte) Runions, Jerry (Tina) Runions, Jeff (Tina) Runions, and Monica (Rusty) DuPont; grandchildren Kyle Runions, Peyton Runions, Parker Runions, James Gray, Chevy Runions, Alania (Daniel) Deavers, Gabe Runions, Justin (Devin) Runions, Cameron (Sadie) Tripp, Casey Tripp, Carson (Savannah) Tripp, Aaron (Cassie) DuPont, and Andy (Stephanie) Dupont. He also leaves behind to carry on his memory 25 great-grandchildren, as well as his brothers Wayne “Dub” Runions (Joanne), Harry Truman Runions, Russell Ray Runions (Vera), Dan Reed Runions (Bonnie), Billy Guy Runions (Elaine); sisters Neva Jane Runions, Darlene Runions McDonald, Diana Lynn Runions; and two sisters-in-law Anna Lou Runions, and Marcia Runions.

The visitation for Mr. Runions will be held on Wednesday, May 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Thursday from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Adair Funeral & Cremation Services.

Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday with Bobby Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Springer Church of Christ Cemetery.
