Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
By Dorothy Warf
We have been having good weather for the farmers cutting and baling hay, it has been dry and hot most days and the nights have been in the sixties which is good ball game weather. There is lots of ball games going on with practice for Allstars and awards ceremonies for all the Dixie league ball teams. This is a great program for all young boys and girls who love softball or baseball, and soccer also gives them things to do.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Janet K. McCaig, James T. Quillen, Jerry Wayne Yates, Marlene Victory Watson and Charles George Petty. Prayers for all these families and any others about which we may not know.
There are many VBS, meetings, and other things going on in the area which may be of interest to many of you who love to get out and visit where people are gathered. The Spring Festival is also going on this Saturday at the City Parking lot with many activities and vendors for you to enjoy, hopefully some of you will be able to attend some of these events.
On Sunday I had special guests for lunch, my grandsons Jesse and Blake shared our lunch and they mowed and weeded my yard which I greatly appreciated. It s always good to have children and grandchildren and even great grandchildren visit. The girls even got to drive the mower for a little, not with the blades in gear but just so they could feel how it goes and does. The were very excited about this and told many at church of their experience.
Prayers for those who are less fortunate and cannot get out and do the things they would like to do, prayers for them and hopefully they will have better days. If you have the opportunity visit or at least send cards or make phone calls to those you know.
