Robert Dayton Brewer

Robert Dayton Brewer, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 1, 2023, at the age of 60. Born in Maury County and raised in Hampshire, Robert touched the lives of those around him with his warm heart, love for family, and zest for life.

During his childhood, Robert found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. One of his fondest memories was spending time with friends, swimming at the creek. He cherished those carefree moments of laughter and friendship. Robert had a deep passion for football and found solace and excitement in watching the game. Music resonated deeply within him, and he often found comfort and inspiration in its melodies. Baptized in the Church of Christ, Robert’s faith provided him with strength and solace throughout his life.

Family held a special place in Robert’s heart, and his love for them was unwavering. He adored his mother, Patsy Carroll, and treasured the bonds he shared with his siblings: Comer (Debbie) Brewer, Lorie (Earl) Wise, Troy (Vanessa) Brewer, Billy (Rhonda) Carroll Jr., Tommy (Tammy) Carroll, Kim (Ricky) Duberry, and Angie Boshers. Robert was preceded in death by his fathers, Billy Carroll Sr., and Comer Brewer Sr., and his brother, Mike Carroll. He is survived by his loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Robert had a vibrant personality and a wide range of interests. He had a fondness for the ladies, cherished the beauty of watches and a cup of coffee brought him great joy. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, and he approached each day with a spirit of adventure.

Robert’s life will be celebrated and honored by those who knew and loved him. The pallbearers will be Comer Brewer, Troy Brewer, Billy Carroll Jr., Earl Wise, Briar Carroll, and Bryant Brewer. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Ricky Duberry, Dustin Carroll, Josh McConnell, Jacob McConnell, Ellis Brewer, Jon Anderson, and Layne Barnes.

Robert Dayton Brewer will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious laughter, loving nature, and zest for life will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved him. May his soul find eternal rest, and may his memory live on in the stories and love shared by those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.

A visitation was held for Robert on Monday, June 5, at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral service was offficiated by Bro. Randy Baxter. He was laid to rest at Palestine Cemetery in Lewis County, where he will find eternal peace.
