Rhythm Roundup at Library

The Lewis County Public Library and Archives echoed with the beats of young percussionists at the Rhythm Round-Up on June 8th. Kelly Medford, local music educator, led the concentric circle of beginning rhythm makers along to a variety of songs including “All Together Now” by the Beatles. Participants learned about drums, tambourines, boom whackers, and egg shakers. They played a little rock, a little jazz, and came “all together” to create a booming sound.

The library’s next family event is Show of Wonders, a magic show starring Rocky Clements on Friday, June 16 at 10:00 A.M. in the library.
