It has really been like summer with the humidity so high and temperatures in the upper eighties and even in the nineties some days. We have had showers and some thunderstorms in the area but no damage that I know of. Try to stay cool and hydrated during the hot days and nights.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Joyce Barnes, Kenley Bates, Colene Beasley, Lois Bennett, Gertie Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Peggy Cook, Pat Dickson, Callie Garrison, Ophelia Green, Carolyn Hargrave, Calvin Harris, Linda Hornal, Shirley Howe, Debbie Johnston, Labri Kendricks, Denny King, Monette King, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Ronnie Lewis, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Thomas Marrow, Carla Murphy, Beverly Sue Novogurski, Lonnie Odom, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Harry Runions, Mike Runions, Russell Runions, Bill Seiber, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Mary Whitehead, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy birthday to Chanda Reeves on July 1st, Shannon Graves the 2nd, Shonda Carroll the 5th, and Kim Atkinson the 8th. We wish for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

These are the ones I know about Matthew Robert Peters, Jordan Anthony Love, Linda LaVon Mohler, Michelle Lomax, Dennis McKay Sr., Judy Johns Rogers, Nellie (Nell) Estelle Rochelle, Richard Dolmaray Wilson, Tammy Renee Kimberling, David Ray King, and Zelhe Frances Harris. Some families are involved in the state level of ball tournaments and so lots of ball practices are going on, please keep these families in your prayers for safe travels to and from the events and safety for the players, coaches, and others involved.

The library has lots of interesting things going on during the summer, from story times for different ages and special events, and especially the upcoming event at the City Parking Lot. Check out their web site or even face book to see all the events going on. Children will love these events.

Praying for your family that you get to spend time with family during the upcoming holiday and be safe. Hope all of you have a great week and a good weekend and if traveling be safe.
