Liver Cancer Awareness Day in memory of Pineapple Barber

Lewis County Mayor Jonah Keltner and City of Hohenwald Mayor Danny McKnight signed a proclamation declaring July 11 as Liver Cancer Awareness Day in Lewis County.

The proclamation read, "Whereas, the liver is one of the largest organs in the human body, and is responsible for filtering harmful substances from the blood, producing bile that helps digest fat, and storing sugar that the body uses for energy.
