Honey Money

And just like that, the 2023 honey season comes to an end. According to Treston Humphreys of Humpreys Hives, "It has been a fantastic season, and we were blessed with 894 pounds (298 quarts) of liquid gold this year." Before it ever got into the jars, the honey sold out. "Because of YOU," said Humphreys, speaking to his buyers, "we get to use some of that 'honey money' to bless it forward. We share these giving opportunities to hopefully inspire others to follow suit and help some of these great causes in our county.

*Fresh Start Ministry (FBC Hohenwald) -$500:

There's an opportunity here in Lewis county to help care for the children of residents who are incarcerated as well as the caregivers of those children. One goal of this outreach is to provide school supplies and new school clothes and shoes for these children. Any donations may be dropped off in the boxes in the foyer of First Baptist Church of Hohenwald or contact Lisa Anderson with any questions

*Lewis County Soccer Club -$500

The Lewis County Soccer Club is a 100% volunteer organization, where every dollar counts as they work to improve their facilities and provide a great recreational league experience for young people and adults in and around Lewis County.

* Adoption of Rejoice -$1,000

As a family of five, kids will always have a special place in our hearts, and this year we have had a family placed in our path that we have the opportunity to help bring together, permanently. Right now there is a clothing collection taking place in which all funds generated go towards the adoption of this little girl.

Once again, without our HONEY LOVERS we wouldn't have HONEY MONEY that allows us the opportunity to serve this community, and as always BEE kind to someone today."
