Funerals services for Debbie Moore Skelton, 59, were held Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Central Christian Fellowship, in Hohenwald.
Debbie was the daughter of Cecil B. Moore, Sr, and Mary Annette Patrick; the granddaughter of William Bernice Moore and Alice Mirya Hogge, and Berville Clifton Patrick and Goldie Pearl Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Annette Moore, Cecil B. Moore, Sr., brothers Cecil Burnell Moore, Jr., and Roger Larnell Moore and her niece, Kassie Lynn Jackson.
Debbie is survived by her three children, Adrian Christopher Moore, Brandon Leonard Skelton, and Aundrea Renee Skelton; her siblings and their spouses, Saundra Annette and Hubert Wallace of Dayton, Carl Rae and Christine Moore of Crivitz Wisconsin, Dale Robert and Sheila Moore of Lawrenceburg, pearl Alice (Pam) and David Lasater, Daplas Carolyn Moore and Tony Edward Moore all of Hohenwald; her nieces and nephews, Darrell, Shauna, Tony Dale, Brandi and Roger Dale.
Debbie went home to be With Jesus her Savior on August 6, 2023, at about 9:15 p.m. at Maury Regional Hospital. She had been fighting Metastatic Breast Cancer for 10 years. She lost that battle but completed her salvation in Jesus. Debbie was a Christian and loved the Lord. Debbie ministered in song and in her writing of letters to so many. She was dedicated to serving the Lord and her family.
Debbie graduated from Lewis County High School in 1982 and graduated from Vo-Tech school in Hohenwald in 2006.
Debbie was an employee of the Department of Human Services in Columbia for 16 years. She was a singer, a writer and talented artist. She will be remembered as a good mother, sister, and friend to many. Heaven's gain is our heartache, but we are glad she was made whole and is now with Jesus.
