National Aviation Day

At Paul Bridges Airfield

On Saturday, August 19th, 2023 National Aviation Day was celebrated with a pancake breakfast and fly-in at Paul Bridges Airfield. Lewis County Mayor Jonah Keltner & Airport Manager Gary Nash welcomed residents of Lewis County and surrounding counties for the breakfast. Several local pilots flew in, including the Air Evac Helicopter crew.

Mayor Jonah Keltner stated, "We had a great time at the County Airport celebrating National Aviation Day. I'd especially like to thank our Airport Manager Gary Nash for having everything look great and operating smoothly at the airport so we can have community events like this to help educate the public about the great resource our airport is. I'd also like to thank our County Maintenance Team, Cazz Crowder and Tommy Taylor, for cooking the delicious pancakes, and of course everyone who came out and made this year's fly-in and breakfast a huge success!

"Paul Bridges Airfield is an incredible resource for our community and our region. We are fortunate to have a fully licensed airport right here in Hohenwald and Lewis County. Looking forward to next year's event!"
