Lewis County Elks Lodge #2882 hosted their annual golf tournament last Saturday on a gorgeous day at Hohenwald Municipal Golf Course. The Lodge gave away lots of door prizes, great winner prizes, and raised approximately $9000.00 for the lodge. LC Elks want to thank all their wonderful sponsors and Mayor Danny McKnight for the use of our local golf course.

On August 8th, members of the Elks Lodge visited with veterans at the American Legion Post #127 to deliver care packages for local veterans. Lodge members delivered 25 care packages containing health and welfare items for their comfort.

Giving back to our Veterans is a primary focus of the National Elks Foundation and funding for this project was made possible through the Elks Freedom Grant.

Accepting packages on behalf of local veterans was Michael Fullagar, Commander of Amerian Legion Post 127, Emily Smith, Post Adjutant Officer and Teresa Gifford, Post Treasurer. Participating Elks were Robb Morse, Exalted Ruler, Lewis County Elks Lodge #2883, Tony McGee, Kellie McGee and Bret Hankins.

Additionally, members of the Lewis County Elks #2883 visited Veterans at AHC Lewis County and delivered goodie bags with needed supplies.
