Clyde Michael Holt, 72, a loving father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023, in Columbia. Born on August 2, 1951, in Hohenwald, Mike was a man of great character, known for his friendly nature and thoughtfulness.
Mike was a dedicated son to his late parents Clyde Homer and Sarah Elizabeth Holt. He was the cherished brother of Paul Coble, Joyce Ragsdale, Dottie Davidson and the late Gary Holt. He was a loving and devoted partner to his significant other, Teresa Jolene Williams. He was a proud and loving father to his sons Christopher (Rebecca) Holt and Brandon Holt. Mike also found great joy in being a grandfather to Nicholas Martin and Caitlyn Brantley. His family was his pride and joy, and he was deeply loved by all of them.
Mike had an illustrious career as a truck driver. His work allowed him to travel extensively, and he took great pleasure in seeing different parts of the country. Despite the demanding nature of his job, he always made time for his family and friends.
Mike had a passion for the outdoors. He loved fishing and took every opportunity to be out on the water, whether it was a quiet creek or a bustling lake. He also had a love for football, often cheering on his favorite teams. He found peace in mowing, often saying it gave him time to think and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Those who knew Mike would describe him as a friendly, loving, and thoughtful person. He had a warm and welcoming demeanor that made everyone feel at home. He had a unique ability to connect with people on a personal level, making them feel valued and appreciated. His laughter was infectious and his stories captivating. He was the kind of person who would go out of his way to help others, often putting their needs before his own.
There are currently no services planned. Mr. Holt will be laid to rest in Glennwood Cemetery on Campbellsville Pike in Columbia at a later date.
Adair Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
