The weather has been somewhat like fall and the lower temperatures at night and morning are welcome to me. We have had some rain that is always appreciated for it cleans the air and washing the vegetation that God has prepared for us to enjoy- the trees, wildflowers and shrubs that dot the hillsides.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Kasey Baker, Joyce Barnes, Colene Beasley, Lois Bennett, Lynn Brown, Gertie Carroll, Spencer Clark, Robert and Pat Dickson, Ophelia Green, James Hammack, Carolyn Hargrave, Betty Hasty, Darrell Hinson, Wanda Holloway, Linda Hornal, Debbie Johnston, Florine Johnston, Bobby Kilpatrick, Denny King, Monette King, David Love, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Ronnie Lewis, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Carla Murphy, Beverly Sue Novogurski, Lonnie Odom, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Jill Rankin, Harry Runions, Mike Runions, Russell Runions, Bill Seiber, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Mary Ann Whitehead, Diane Williams, Doug Williams, and Annette Williams. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy birthday to John Barrier the 22nd, Bryson Troutman the 23rd, Barbara Hinson and Caroline Odom the 24th, Brooke Duncan the 26th, Brookelynn Eastep and Elizabeth Jean Hinson the 27th, and David Duncan, Terry Stutts, Molly McCann and Mellie Haywood the 28th. We wish for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Parish Phelps, Melvin Ray Roberson, Vidall Gabriel Thomas Corbin, Vance A. Turner, David Scott Kwiatkowski, Richard Alex Bobbitt Sr., Neva Ward Campbell, John Samuel Matteson, Billy Robin Runions, Sarah “Janie” Jane Warren, and Linda Faye Orton Copley. Prayers for these families and any others about which we may not know.

The special day that children look forward to besides their birthday and Christmas is Halloween and it will soon be on the calendars for parties, gatherings and trunk or treats for many to enjoy.

Wishing for you and your family many happy days ahead and prayers for health that you may be able to enjoy the time you have with your family.
