Maria and Kaitlynn Tripp were invited to Jim and Faye Johnston’s on Friday where their son was making molasses and we went after the rain cleared out and Doug showed them where the cane grew and then let them press some and watch it cook, they really enjoyed the morning, and he brought them a jar of the finished product which was very good.

Happy anniversary to Joe and Edna Garner the 9th, we wish for them many more years to celebrate life together.

There was an area wide singing at Lomax on Friday night and there was breakfast food served before the event and it was great but the singing was so great. There was about 40 leaders there from lots of different areas even from out of the county and everyone seemed to enjoy visiting before and after it.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Jeffery Allen Worley, Micael “Fat Daddy” Johnston, Linda Kay Talley Kingdom, Melvis Virginia Staggs, James Robert Bryant and Lewis Edward Cleaton Jr. Prayers for these families and any others about which we may not know.

We are now in the month of October and lots of things are going on but the Heritage Festival is the one with more things to do and enjoy in the area of course there will be lots of yard sales and the children will be out of school. Hope you will be able to enjoy some of those things.

Prayers for you and your family that you might have a great week and be able to do the things you enjoy and hopefully that will include time with your family. May you be blessed with happiness and good health.
