Carolyn Faye Carroll, 82, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2023, in Hohenwald, with her children by her side. She was born on January 17, 1941, in Lynnville, to the late Clyde W. Tiller and Helen (Vick) Tiller.
She began her working career as a hospital clerk and later transitioned into home health care, before retiring from the Hohenwald Housing Authority. Faye was an active member of the Indian Creek Church of Christ, where she found a strong community of faith and friendship. Faye had a passion for reading and sewing, hobbies that brought her joy. Faye also loved spending time on the Tennessee River, where she found peace in the serene beauty of nature.
In addition to her parents, Clyde and Helen Tiller, she is preceded in death by her husband Sammy Carroll, and her brother, CM Tiller. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Barry (DeAnna) Carroll; her daughter, Cindy (Ed) McClain; her grandchildren, Garrett (Jennifer) Carroll, Zac (Alex) Carroll, Kade Carroll, Matt (Kenzie) McClain, Mark (Samantha) McClain; great-grandchildren, Eden, Caleb, Gray, Liam, Libby, Logan, Gemma, and Lainey; along with her loving nieces and nephews and her river rat friends. She shared a special bond with her loving dog, Razor, who was her constant companion.
Visitation will Faye's family will be on Wednesday, October 4th from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Steve Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memorial Gardens.
