Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898

The Four C's Continue Tradition

The Oktober Heritage Festival was a successful event for 2023 all around, thanks to the four C's that make up this side of Heaven: The City, The County, The Chamber, The Community!

The City of Hohenwald employees dressed the town up beautifully with festive fall decor, Lewis County Government and local businesses followed suit, and the Chamber of Commerce organized to ensure our community was a sight to see and the place to be last weekend as tourists and locals attended the event. With a record number of vendors on Main, a record number of Big Rigs and classic cars in both shows on the court house lawn, excellent music, tons of yard sales and even more shoppers, there was something for everyone last weekend, and if you missed it, you missed out.

Standing in the Kids Corner, parents were enjoying barbecue by the F.O.P. while their kids ran around to jump at the different bounce houses and inflatable slides, then over to the face painting station to become fairy princesses or spidermen!

Music could be heard all day long as folks enjoyed the Car Show and Big Rig Show at the court house, and shoppers ventured down Main Street to patronize the record number of vendors selling homemade crafts, art, and boutique items before grabbing a fresh squeezed lemonade, funnel cake or chocolate covered strawberry from food truck central on Maple Street. The food trucks, music, and shopping continued on down Summertown Highway for miles and miles as folks, both new and seasoned, set up in what seemed every empty lot of land between town and the Natchez Trace Parkway.
