Monday started off with rain which is good because we have not had much lately. The temperatures are also lower than usual, but it is the time of year when we will be having cool to cold night and moderate day temperatures. The rain brought more leaves to the ground, and they will be stuck until they dry some.

We had a very enjoyable day with the group from Lomax as we traveled to the Nash Creamery in Chapel Hill. They milk about 1100 cows per day and have lots of baby calves at different ages. The tour was great, and the food was even better. I have never had a ham and cheese sandwich on sour dough bread with fried apples, but it was really good and for dessert we had some of their ice cream, there was so many choices in flavors that it was hard to choose but I settled on pumpkin roll, and it was not a disappointment; it was really delicious. The weather was really nice not too hot and not too cold, making it an extra special day.

Hope your family was able to attend some of the activities around the area, the library had an excellent program for children of all ages, some things inside and some games outside. The children and parents as well really had a great time.

Wishing you a special week to enjoy your family and friends. Make time to be with family and make
