Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
Lewis County High School, led by principal Adam Clark, has been selected to participate in the Tennessee Grow Your Own Teaching as a Profession State- Certified Pre-Apprenticeship Pilot Program in collaboration with the Tennessee Dept. Of Education.
The district's commitment to excellence in education has been noticed through efforts by Director of Schools Dr. Tracy McAbee, CTE director Trina Weaks and Workforce Development Coordinator Brandi Feichtinger working with the TN Grow Your Own Center.
The high school TAP program is taught by Lauren Hamm, and she is representing a forward-thinking approach to teacher development and growth by providing this opportunity to grow teachers from our high school student population.
The TAP program will serve as an entry point for a Registered Apprenticeship Program and will serve as a recruiting tool for employers. The school's combined efforts will undoubtedly contribute to the success of this program and pave the way for a brighter educational future for all Lewis County students.
