Janice Kay Brewer McCann, 62, a loving and selfless woman known for her generosity and big heart, passed away on November 2, 2023, in Hohenwald. Born on July 15, 1961, in Franklin, Indiana, she was the love, laughter, and kindness to all who knew her.
Janice was born to Marianne Brewer and the late James Virgil Brewer Jr. She was the cherished wife of Rickey Lynn McCann and a loving mother to stepchildren Richie Lynn McCann and Derek Lee McCann. She was also a doting sister to Lora (Jeff) de Lacey, Joyce (Jeff) Hall, and James V. (Robin) Brewer III. Her life was further enriched by her grandchildren Cailey, Brooklynn, Raegan, Riley, Emily, and Alaina, and her great-grandchild, A.J., who brought her immense joy and happiness.
Janice was a homemaker, dedicating her life to creating a warm and loving environment for her family. She was a woman of many talents and interests, with a particular passion for collecting various items, yard sales, and antiquing. Janice was a great negotiator, always looking out for the best deals and treasures. Her home was filled with unique and interesting items, each with its own story, much like Janice herself.
She was a woman who thought of everyone else before herself. Her selfless nature was evident in her everyday actions, always placing the needs of others before her own. Janice's sense of humor was one of her most endearing qualities, keeping those around her laughing and smiling, even until the end. She was loyal and loving, with a heart that knew no bounds.
Her life was a testament to her generous spirit and loving nature. Her kindness and selflessness will leave a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Janice will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, her stories and laughter echoing in their minds. Services were held Monday, November 6, 2023 in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services.
