Local Brings Home Win at International Open Jiu Jitsu Championship

The IBJJF returned to Nashville for the second time in 2023 for the Nashville Fall Open, and local competitor, Gates Avery Roberson, decided it was time to put his training to the test against the best in the world. He proudly stood on the winners blocks as he brought home 2nd in the Male/Master 1/ White/ Ultra-Heavy class.

Roberson has been training under Clint Natschke at TBJJA for the last year and says, "Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been the best thing for my physical and mental health. It's something everyone should try. It will change your life."
