Janet Lorraine Andrews, 86, a woman of admirable strength, kindness, and generosity, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2023, in Hohenwald. She was born on January 2, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Arthur and Laura Rosing. Her tenacious spirit and warm heart touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Janet dedicated many years of her life to General Motors, where she served as a secretary and left an indelible mark with her hard work and dedication. Her professional life was a testament to her incredible work ethic and commitment to her role. A competitive spirit, she received high marks in high school for skeet shooting, a testament to her determination and focus.

In her personal life, Janet was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Virginia (Gary) LaPrise and Denise (Steve) Durham, and her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Steven Durham, Jennifer Nicole King, and Stephanie Joyce LaPrise. She was predeceased by her son, David Robert Andrews. She will also be remembered by her greatgrandchildren Christopher James Durham, Kyle David King, and Jameson David King, and her brother Elwood Arther Rosing. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments. She loved them deeply and unconditionally, and her memory will be a beacon of love and warmth for them.

Janet was known for her interests that reflected her vibrant personality. She had a passion for crocheting, often creating beautiful and intricate pieces for her loved ones. Her love for cats was well known among her friends and family, and she could often be found with a feline companion by her side. Janet was also an avid fisherwoman and boating enthusiast, relishing the tranquility and excitement of the open water. She was an active member of the swim group at the YMCA, where she found joy and camaraderie.

Janet was a woman of remarkable generosity, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. She would give you the shirt off her back, always there to help no matter what. Her kind and loving nature was a comfort to those around her, earning her the love and respect of many. Janet was known for her thoughtfulness, always considering others before herself.
