Lenny Mitchell Parker, 76, a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023, in Hohenwald. Born on January 20, 1947, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Lenny was a vibrant personality who lived his life with an infectious enthusiasm that touched everyone he met.

The son of the late Burnis and Lois Parker, Lenny was one of five boys. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Sonny Parker and Billy Wayne Parker, his aunt Bit, and uncle Jakey, and Aunt Joe. Lenny is survived by his loving wife of many years, Paula Parker, his brother Craig Parker, his children Scott (Jennifer) Parker, Jacob Parker, Kelly Parker Guidry (Shawn) and Jaclyn Parker Flewallen (Steven), and his stepchildren B.J. and Chelsey Gibson, Chris and Jessica Gibson, and Andy-William and Cammie Gibson. He was a proud grandfather to Cayley, Brynlee, Hunter, Bryson, Blake, Emily, Taylor, Ryan, Shalyn, Brayden, Jacelyn, Eli, Jason, and Rowan. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory two great-grandchildren, cousins Barbara and Brenda. He was also preceded in death by the mother of his children Carol and will be remembered by the mother of his other children Vicki.

Lenny was a proud United States Army Veteran who served his country valiantly in Vietnam. Upon returning from service, he found his calling as a skilled carpenter, a profession he carried out with dedication and passion. His hands were never idle, always eager to create, repair, or improve something. He was known for his handiness, able to fix anything that was broken, and he took great pride in his work.

Lenny's love for the outdoors was an integral part of who he was. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, camping, and simply being in nature. His favorite times were those spent around a bonfire with his family, telling stories and sharing laughter. His family fondly remembers him as a "jaw flapper," always ready with a story or a joke. Lenny's beautiful singing voice was the highlight of many family gatherings, and his songs will echo in the hearts of his loved ones forever.

Lenny was a man of many virtues. He was loving and generous, always ready to lend a helping hand or a comforting word. He had a heart full of love for his family, and he cherished the time he spent with them. His love for his family was evident in everything he did.

In the end, Lenny Mitchell Parker was a man who lived his life fully and loved deeply. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and a family that adores him. He will be remembered not just for his deeds, but for the man he was - a true embodiment of kindness, love, and generosity.

Visitation with the family was held Tuesday, November 28, 2023, until service time in the chapel of Adair Funeral and Cremation Services.
