Series: Gordonsburg | Story 171

e terrible weather with thunder, lightning, hail and lots of heavy rain, it rained so hard you could barely see the lines on the road and so much water that one had to be careful that it did not cover the windshield and completely destroy the view of the road. We made it home safely and are very thankful for that. There was some tornado damage in some parts of the state and even several deaths as a result.

The girls and I went to the ice skating rink in the park on Friday night and they had a great time, it wasn’t too cold but wasn’t warm either, then we rode the shuttle bus to the Community Building and got their picture with M and M Santa. We then went back to the truck and it had begun to rain but not too much and we did not get wet.

There was a birthday party on Saturday for several in our group who have birthdays, Maria Tripp, Blake Chappell, Dorothy Warf, Jared Tripp who was absent but thought of. We all had a good time and lots of good food with cakes for everyone and subs with all the trimmings and chips and of course ice cream to go with the cakes. Thanks to all those who came to help us celebrate.

We went to the community dinner on Saturday night and enjoyed the food and fellowship but by the time we got ready to leave it was really raining and the rain so hard you could hardly see and even hail and water on the roads, but thankfully we made it home and by then it was slowed enough that we did not even get wet going into the house.

Hopping this weekend with be better for Christmas in Hohenwald which is a big event for our town and so many things for people to enjoy and see and do.

Praying that you and your family have a great week and enjoy good health. Remember those who are less fortunate and say a prayer for them.
