Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
by Dorothy Warf
There have been several small showers during the past week and rain we still need for we had a dry late summer and fall. The days have been in the fifties and sixties for the most part and nights in the mid to low thirties. If the predictions for this week manifest it will be cool in the daytime and in the low twenties and teens during the night. I do not like this cold weather; it seems the cold wind just blows right through me.
Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Kasey Baker, Jerry Barber, Joyce Barnes, Colene Beasley, Lynn Brown, Linda Butler, Gertie Carroll, Spencer Clark, Robert and Pat Dickson, Jerry Edwards, Joe Garner, Ophelia Green, Darrell Hinson, Wanda Holloway, Debbie Johnston, Florine Johnston, Bobby Kilpatrick, Tom Kilpatrick, Denny King, Monette King, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Ronnie Lewis, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Jerry Morton, Carla Murphy, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Harry Runions, Tina Sharp, Bobby Simmons, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Diane Williams, Doug Williams, and Annette Williams. Prayers for these and others who are sick and suffering from some ailments.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Peggy Ann Brewer, Norma Jean “Peachie” Dodd Miller, Abbie Gray, Davied Keith Devault, Lola Ermadean Hickerson, Joyce White, Wayne Radiker, Authur Quitman Pettway, and William Hollis Rosson. Prayers for these families and any others about which I may not know.
Happy anniversary to Jimmy and Wanda Barber the 25th, and to James and Mary Ann Whitehead the 26th. We wish these couples a very happy anniversary and many more years to celebrate life together.
Praying for each and everyone to have a great Christmas and remember to include thanks and worship to Christ which is the reason for the season although we really don’t know when his birth took place. Remember those less fortunate and those who are serving to protect our nation during this season when so many will not be home with their families and also to the police and fire personnel as they also serve and protect.
