Lewis County Sheriff's Deputy Arrested on Charges of Theft and Money Laundering

32nd Judicial District Attorney General Hans Schwendimann made a request to TBI on September 13th to investigate a complaint of theft against Lewis County Deputy Brandon Keith Grady (DOB 08/13/1985). The Lewis County Sheriff's Department was notified of the investigation, and Grady was immediately placed on administrative leave without pay.

According to the TBI report, Grady was the president of the youth football and cheer organization, Jr. Pro Panthers, and had used money the board approved for the purchase of an equipment shed to instead spend the money on a Police K9 he purchased for himself while an active deputy.

On December 13th, the Lewis County Grand Jury met in special session to return indictments charging Grady with one count of Theft and one count of Money Laundering.

Two days later, Grady turned himself in, was released on a $5,000 bond, and was relived of his duties at the Lewis County Sheriff's Department.
