Another week with winter nights and fall days with temperatures at night in the low twenties and teens and days up in the fifties some days. Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Deborah Sue Rodgers Prater, Clara Deloris Poppell Turnbo Staggs, Hope Lavere Sanderson Den5ton, and Clara Faye Murphy. Prayers for these families and any others about which I may not know.

Many families have been traveling during the holidays and we pray for a safe return to their home. Our family enjoyed a Christmas meal on Monday morning sharing sausage, bacon, ham, eggs, chocolate gravy, and biscuits. Those attending were Donald and Nancy Taylor, Blake Chappell, Jeanea Warf, Selina Young, Maria and Kaitlynn Tripp, and Dorothy Warf. Then we all met at Selina’s to watch the girls open their Christmas gifts and others as well had gifts under the tree. We had a great time and enjoyed being together. We will meet at Jeanea’s later in the evening for the traditional ornament gift swap and crazy Christmas with them. Hope you and your family also enjoyed sharing traditions together. We always remember the reason for this season even though we do not know for sure when Jesus was born.

Praying for each of you to have a great new year and that you will be able to share it with friends and family. May we always remember those who are less fortunate and help where we can.

If you make new year’s resolutions remember to make them attainable, it will mean so much more to you.
