Donna Jean Watson, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023, in Columbia. She was born on March 26, 1966, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Lawrence Kent and Cheryl Rossiter.

Donna was a proud graduate of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Hohenwald. After graduation, Donna worked as an LPN for five years.

Donna was a strong, giving woman. She was an example to others, always putting the needs of people first. She was resilient in the face of many of life's challenges. She was an inspiration to many, and her selfless attitude was apparent through her work and devotion to others.

An avid animal lover, Donna's compassion extended beyond people. She wasn't afraid to jump in to help Nina with caring for her animals. She found joy in taking trips with her beloved John. These trips were not just travels but memories that will be treasured forever. Above all, Donna was the best mother and grandmother.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, John Watson; mother, Cheryl Rossiter; children, Nina (Clifton) Strayer, James Causey, Brandy Riley, Eric (Holly) Watson; brother, Lawrence Kent, Jr; grandchildren, Ellie & River Strayer, Ezra and Wyatt Watson, and Jacob and Jace Fite.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and continue until service time. Burial will follow in Swiss Cemetery.
