Jan Lewis Pasold
Jan Pasold is one of our FIRST RESPONDERS here in Hohenwald and we are sure lucky to have her. Thank you for all you do for and in our community.
Q.) Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
A.) I grew up in a rural community outside of Chattanooga. I have one brother 11 months older. I spent most of the time with my grandparents. I was an avid softball player my entire life playing my last season when I was pregnant with my daughter. I went to UT in Knoxville. After graduation I moved to western Nebraska for a job. I met the father of my kids at a local rodeo. We have two amazing kids, Ansley and Grant. We moved to Tennessee for my husband's job. After nearly 25 years, my husband and I divorced. I knew he had another daughter as I had spent time with her when she was young. Fast forward to 2021 when the kids' dad passed away, his daughter, now mine, walked into our lives. Bree is the missing link to our family and I am so proud to have a bonus daughter. Now I spend all of my time, if I'm not working, with my three kids and my dogs.
Q.) Where did you grow up?
A.) Suck Creek Mountain, TN
Q.) What is one of your fondest childhood memories?
A.) Helping my PawPaw hook up his mules to the wagon and going on a camping trip!!
Q.) What did you want to be as a kid? What did you actually become?
A.) I wanted to be a veterinarian. I graduated from UT with a BS in Animal Science/Ag&Ext Education and MS work in Beef Cattle Reproduction. After a series of events and witnessing a fatality wreck, I went to EMT school. Loved it so much I continued my education. I am currently a Critical Care Paramedic/Community Paramedic.

A.) My PawPaw & MawMaw, Howard & Oma Lee Lewis from Palmer TN. They were hard working honest folks and raised me to be just that.
Q.) What are some of your favorite hobbies/ how do you like to spend your free time?
A.) I dilly dally with some craft stuff occasionally but my biggest hobby are my Oodles! I have 4 standard poodles (Neyland, Summit, Stokleigh and Vol-E), two Golden Doodle granddogs, Dexter & Goose, and a chocolate Lab, Izzy.

A.) Is there any kind other than 80's?
