June 15, 1971 ~ January 9, 2024

Rick Dwayne Brown, a devoted family man and passionate sports enthusiast, passed away at his home in Hohenwald, on January 9, 2024, at the age of 52. Born on June 15, 1971, in Waynesboro, he was the beloved son of Larry "Monk" Brown and the late Johnnie Carroll Brown.

Rick's love for his family shone brightly throughout his life. He shared a beautiful marriage with his wife, Tamre Carroll Brown, and was a loving father to his daughters, Candace (Cainon) Workman and Crystal (Wally) Thomas. Although he faced the heartbreaking loss of his daughter Cagney Brown, Rick's strength and love never wavered. He was a cherished grandfather to Braxtin and Lucky Thomas; Caimora, Caimyaa, and Caimoni Workman; and Ryker Jones, who will all miss his warmth and guidance.

Rick inherited a legacy of love and dedication from his predeceased grandparents, Raymond and Bessie Brown and John and Virginia Carroll, which he carried forward with honor and dignity. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family, embodying the roles of caretaker, provider, and protector with unwavering commitment. His father, Larry, could always count on him, as Rick never missed a day caring for his parents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Beyond his role in the family, Rick was known for his immense love of sports. He was a huge fan of the UT Vols, the Tennessee Titans, and NASCAR, with a particular admiration for driver Sterlin Marlin. College football Saturdays were sacred to him, filled with cheers and the joy of the game. His passion for sports was infectious, bringing excitement to all who shared these moments with him.

Rick's character was marked by his toughness, patience, and kindness. He was slow to anger and always ready to lend a helping hand. Friends and family knew him as someone who would go out of his way to help, no matter the circumstance. His gentle spirit and loving nature made him a friend to many and a comfort to those in need.

In taking on the role of father to Crystal and Candace, Rick treated them as his own, providing love, support, and guidance. He was a testament to the power of love and the bonds that form when someone chooses to open their heart and life to others.

There are currently no services planned. Adair Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
