Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898

Local Bank Recognized with Centennial Award

In today's fast-paced, ever-changing world, it's becoming more rare to find businesses still operating after 100 years. A lot changes in a century. Between numerous wars, notable epidemics, and great depressions, it would be absolutely understandable to close the doors to a business in small town America. The Bank of Perry County, however, held on and held strong for the people in their community, and even branched out to provide services and support in surrounding counties, like Lewis. For this great strength, the Bank of Perry County, originally opening it's doors in Lobelville in 1905, was recognized.

The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development recognizes companies that have been in operation for 100 years or more in the Volunteer State, and they recently traveled to Lobelville, TN where the Bank of Perry County has been in continuous operation since 1905. Their motto, "The Bank on the Go," is proof that they have no intention of slowing down anytime soon, and it's perfectly fitting as they continue to grow and expand, working for the people of the communities they are planted in. Families are able to purchase first homes, entrepreneurs are building the business of their dreams, farmers are keeping family land to continue traditions, new drivers are able to get a vehicle to make it to their first jobs. Citizens are able to invest in their community by seeing their dreams become reality, all because a hometown bank stands strong.

"These companies," stated TNECD rep, "represent the state's thriving industries and have provided countless opportunities to Tennesseans in communities across the state."
