Has been very windy days for the last couple of weeks and sometimes it is really cold or should I say cool. We had some rain a couple of days, and this has hindered some from doing garden work and maybe save their efforts for we have also had some frost with temperatures in the upper twenties. The dogwoods and red buds are blooming so maybe it won’t be long till we do not have these cool and cold nights.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Kasey Baker, Joyce Barnes, Colene Beasley, Linda Butler, Elizabeth Boggs, Gertie Carroll, Spencer Clark, Mary Ann Churchwell is doing well after cataract surgery, Robert and Pat Dickson, Paula Dyer, Polly Edwards, Joy Franks, Ophelia Green, Darrell Hinson, Wanda Holloway, Jimmy Lee Johnston, Denny King, Monette King, Lillie Mitchell, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry is doing really good and able to play and enjoy life as a child should continue to pray that she stays this way, Helen McCann, Brittany Mash, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Harry Runions, Marsha Runions, Lewis Schultz, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Ann Spencer, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Prayers for these and others who are sick.

We wish a happy birthday to Erik Odom April 2nd, Lily Carroll the 3rd, and Mandy Hinson and Lucas aker the 5th. Wishing for all these a very happy birthday and many more years to enjoy life.

Prayers for all those families who lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Douglas Morris Folger, Maria Estella Hayes, Deborah Sue stags Smith, Clara Hooper, Alma Jean Purcell Schulkers, Peggy Ann Talley Potts, Sarah Fuller, Edith L. Westbrooks, Mark Daniel General, Roy Lee Cochran, Michael Graves Sullivan, Omar Milton Drollinger, John Edward Hudspeth, John “Allen” Parchman, James Sloan Franklin, and Yvonne Mae Minchin Dysinger. Prayers for these families and any others about which I may not know.

Easter will be this coming Sunday, and many will be off work and children will begin the spring break for this area and there will be egg hunts and family gatherings in lots of places. If you are going to be traveling, we wish you safe travels and hope you enjoy the time together.

The local girl scouts enjoyed a trip to the recycling center mainly to take their empty cookie boxes but also to learn more about other things that the center does, they now have glass recycling along with other things. It was a very interesting trip and troop leader, Ella Meintzer prepared snack bags for everyone. This was a very great treat for everyone, thanks to her.

Wishing you and yours a very happy and safe Easter weekend with the extra day off making it a special weekend for many. Prayers for a healthy time and that you may be able to spend it with family and friends.
