Flora Mae Warren Melton

Flora Mae Warren Melton, affectionately known as Memaw, was born on February 7, 1940, in Clifton, to Nicholas Beaumont and Myrtle Aslee Turnbo Warren. A devoted homemaker and a cherished member of the Riverside Community Church in Clifton, Flora peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Columbia, at the age of 84.

Flora is survived by sons, Jeffrey Yates (Debbie) of Chapel Hill, Gregory Yates (Felicia) of Centerville, and Richie Weatherly (Sadonia) of Hohenwald; brother, Donald Warren (Lena); sisters, twin sister, Carrie Harris and sister, Roberta Talley; grandchildren, Nicholas Weatherly (Amber), Kyle Mayberry, LaTasha Barrier (Ben), Brooke Rogers (Cody), Macy Truett (Kent), and Hunter Yates-Tanner (Faith); great grandchildren, Lane and Breelie Rogers, Payton, Maeleigh, and Bristol Weatherly, Charlie Truett, and Kayce Warren Tanner; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Flora is preceded in death by her brother, Douglass Warren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Riverside Community Church in Clifton.Funeral services followed with Steve Halloway officiating. Burial followed in Culp Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Pallbearers were Nicholas Weatherly, Hunter Yates-Tanner, Kent Truett, Cody Rogers, Kyler Mayberry, and Ben Barrier.

Honorary Pallbearers were Lane Rogers, Charlie Truett, and Kayce Tanner.
