Lewis County Elks Lodge #2883 held the 4th Annual 5K Color Run/Walk for Autism and Special Friends.

On April 6th the Lewis County Elks Lodge #2883 held the 4th Annual 5K Color Run/Walk for Autism and Special Friends. 32 Elks and volunteers along with 22 Runners and Walkers participated to raise money for a $1500 donation to the Lewis County Special Education department. This Elk event was started 4 years ago to shine a much needed light on the wonderful work our local Special Education department does for our children. According to Tn.gov Lewis County has almost 200 special needs children. The resources are sometimes limited so the Elks decided to raise money and make an annual donation to the Special Education department to use for purchasing supplies and needed equipment throughout the year.
