Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898

Lewis County Person Of The Week:Erin Robison

Series: Person of the Week | Story 43

Q.) Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?

A.) I'm just a small town hero. There's not much else to say.

Q.) Where did you grow up?

A.) Hohenwald!

Q.) What is one of your fondest childhood memories?

A.) There's so many! One particular one that comes to mind was we always made a big deal for the 4th of July. Aunts and uncles and cousins would all come to our house and we'd play horseshoes and have a campfire and grill out. One year we set up a bunch of tents and camped in the yard. All the kids caught a bunch of lightning bugs and we let them go in the house. We were pretty good at entertaining ourselves.

Q.) What did you want to be as a kid? What did you actually become?

A.) When I was little I wanted to be an actress and a vet and then a lawyer. I ended up becoming a teacher and a bartender.

Q.) Who was/is your biggest role model?

A.) My dad taught me to treat others how you want to be treated. After he passed, I've strived to be my own role model and set values and standards for myself and others.

Q.) What are some of your favorite hobbies/ how do you like to spend your free time?

A.) I love to fish and kayak and lay out in the sun. I love cookouts and hanging out with my dogs and reading. I also spend a lot of my free time volunteering at High Forest Humane Society, taking care of shelter dogs.

Q.) If you could go anywhere, in or out of the states, where would it be? Why?

A.) I would go somewhere sunny and tropical! Doesn't matter where.

Q.) What is "your" song?

A.) I was in the Red Wine and Whiskey video by Scotty Morton so you could say that's my song.

Q.) What is one of your favorite things about living in Hohenwald?

A.) I love how you can just show up randomly anywhere you go and somebody's gonna offer you some food.

Q.) What is your favorite time of year? Why?

A.) Summertime! It's my birthday, river time, and always hot and sunny!

Q.) What do you enjoy most about your job?

A.) Mostly the alcohol. I'm a bartender at Lewis and Clarke's. But seriously, I enjoy getting people together and helping them meet new people and have a good time. And I love the regulars who I've built a bond with over the past several years. I like hearing stories from people and giving them life advice.

Q.) Do you have a nickname?

A.) Princess

Q.) If you could spend one day as a TV character, who would it be?

A.) I would star in my own reality show.

Q.) Is there any life advice you could give to our readers?

A.) Life is way too short. Don't save the good stuff for a special occasion. Work hard but have fun too. Don't be so quick to pass judgment on others because you never know what circumstances brought them to where they are. Be kind and take care of others; people and animals. And learn to be grateful for what you have because there are so many people who pray for the things you take for granted.
